Our house is situated at 1700m altitude in the quiet, sunny neighbourhood of Chasuras in the picturesque village of Tschierv in the Val Müstair, in the canton of Grisons.
The house has been in the family for generations, and has been adapted and enlarged several times – parts of the external walls date back to the Middle Ages. It was fully renovated and restructured in 2010/2011.
The current structure beautifully marries modern conveniences whilst retaining its traditional character and plenty of charm.
The owners, Katherine and Marco Gilly, who live in the first floor flat, are fluent in German, English and French as well as the local language – Romansh. Marco will be able to provide you with a wealth of insights on the history of the house and local area. Katherine is a keen gardener and enjoys persuading plants to thrive despite the high altitude and short summers.
