The Val Müstair lies on the southern side of the Alps and enjoys plenty of snow and blue skies – an ideal setting for a winter holiday.

Tschierv and the surrounding area offer a multitude of winter activities. The charming and family friendly ski area of Minschuns (2700 m altitude) caters to both beginners and proficient skiers. It boasts a variety of different level runs and a ski school that offers private and group lessons for all levels and ages. The sunny terrace of the restaurant with its sunny wonderful panorama can be reached by ski or on foot.

Home to cross-country ski champion Dario Cologna, the valley boasts 40 km of cross-country pistes. These are distributed throughout the valley as well as in Minschuns and on the Pass dal Fuorn. You can hop on your skis just outside the house!

The local natural ice-skating rink and the toboggan run from Lü to Tschierv attract both young and old throughout the day and are floodlit at night (December – February).

If you wish to enjoy the silence of nature whilst not disturbing the wildlife, the valley offers a wide selection of ski tours as well as some snowshoe trails. All the requisite equipment can be rented in the village sports shop.
